The UMass Lowell Exchange Program was designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students who wish to broaden their academic horizons by studying at Kennedy College of Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell). This fully-funded exchange program is supported by the SAAB Family Foundation. The SAAB Family Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to provide students with links to the Azores the chance to spend a period, from 8 to 10 weeks, studying at UMass Lowell.

The International Exchange Program was devised to boost students independent thinking while enhancing their knowledge and expertise in a subject. Throughout the program, students will be working with leading professionals in the fields of Computer Science; Environmental; Earth and Atmospheric Sciences; and Chemistry.
